The Full Selection Process

This is the primary stage. The RRB Group D CBT 2025 is a 90-minute online test with 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. A negative marking of 1/3 of a mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.  

Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates shortlisted from the CBT must pass the PET, which is qualifying in nature. The physical requirements are as follows:  

For Male Candidates:

• Must be able to lift and carry a weight of 35 kg for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes, without stopping to put the weight down.  
• Must be able to run for a distance of 1,000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.  

For Female Candidates:

• Must be able to lift and carry a weight of 20 kg for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes, without stopping to put the weight down.  
• Must be able to run for a distance of 1,000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.  

Stage 3 & 4: Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination

Successful candidates in the PET will proceed to Document Verification, where their academic and personal documents are checked. The final stage is a Medical Examination to ensure candidates are medically fit for the job.
